Half Dome

Half Dome, Yosemite National Park

Half Dome is one of Yosemite's most famous landmarks. It towers over 4500' above the floor of Yosemite Valley at an elevation of 8842'. It is an impressive site to see from the valley, but like most things in Yosemite, to really "see" it you've got to get out of your car and go there.
