Kennedy Lake is a small lake located around 7800' in the Emigrant Wilderness, roughly 7 miles from the Kennedy Meadows Resort and Pack Station on Highway 108. This area is great for trout fishing, horseback riding and of course backpacking.
I have made two previous trips to this area. Once around 1996 with my wife Stacy and again in 2000 when we brought our then 2-year-old daughter Hannah. I had not made it to the lake on either trip, so this time I was determined to see it and would let nothing get in my way...
