A few months ago an idea was proposed by Sequoia to have a gathering in Sequoia National Forest. We agreed on a location and set a date for November 22, 2003. What we didn't expect was a recent storm that dumped 6 inches of snow on the area. So with snowshoes handy, four of us set off for a short adventure to The Needles.
Our plan was to follow the access road 2.5 miles to the trailhead, set up camp and day hike the remaining 2.5 miles to The Needles. Due to other commitments, Blisters was only able to join us for the day hike.
