Little Yosemite Valley is probably one of the most popular back country destinations in the park. It is situated along the Merced River, about 4 miles from the floor of Yosemite Valley. This location makes it popular for those wanting to continue on towards Half Dome or east along the Merced River towards Merced Lake.
