Merced NWR

The Merced National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) encompasses 10,258 acres of wetlands where Sandhill Cranes, Ross’ Geese as well as shorebird, songbirds and raptors live.

Since I’m 15 minutes away, I frequent this place trying to photograph some type of wildlife or landscape scene.

There is a .6 mile nature trail and here’s what I saw that afternoon…
