Cathedral Lakes

It is the early morning of October 12, 2003 and the temperature is just about 35 degrees. I arrived at the trailhead around 7:30 after an enjoyable 3 hour drive prepared to spend a much needed day of solitude in the backcountry cathedral of Yosemite.
