Mount Conness

The date is June 28, 2003 and my wife and two kids are on week three of a four week vacation with her parents, leaving me with plenty of time to backpack and day hike. Unfortunately during that time I've had to cancel a 5 day backpacking adventure in Mineral King, then I came down with a bad case of Shingles and I had car troubles on another trip that prevented me from enjoying the whole day.

I really needed to get out!
