I had wanted to do this hike earlier this season, but the Tioga Road was closed at the time and I didn’t want to day hike it from Yosemite Valley. So I decided to try again this year before the road closed again, setting a date for October 5, 2002. I was all set to day hike it when I found out that you could camp there.
I was really excited now!
